Men's Coach Bio

Tim Eckberg is Western Carolina head men’s golf coach, leading the Catamounts in the Southern Conference. A former WCU golf student‑athlete himself, he was named head coach in 2015 and brings firsthand experience from the program’s competitive culture. Eckberg emphasizes strong, regular‑season competition, scoring‑oriented play, and technical‑skill refinement, working to keep Western Carolina competitive at the SoCon Championship and aiming to push the team toward more frequent NCAA‑postseason‑caliber seasons.

Women's Coach Bio

Anne Marie Covar is Western Carolina head women’s golf coach, directing the Catamounts in the Southern Conference. She took over as head coach in mid‑2024 after five seasons leading Presbyterian College women’s golf, bringing SoCon‑level experience and a winning coaching track record. Covar focuses on fundamentals, short‑game development, and a disciplined team‑practice environment aimed at steadily improving WCU women’s national‑ranking profile and postseason‑eligibility within the SoCon.
