Men's Coach Bio

Matt Moot is Campbell University men’s head golf coach, promoted to the role after years as an assistant on the Campbell staff. A long‑time member of the program, he brings deep familiarity with the Camels’ culture, recruiting pipeline, and tournament structure. Moot emphasizes a strong, competitive schedule, technical‑skill development, and a team‑driven environment aimed at keeping Campbell men’s golf competitive within the CAA and contending for conference‑level finishes.

Women's Coach Bio

John Crooks is Campbell women’s head golf coach and Director of Golf, entering his 36th season with the program in 2025–26. A Hall of Fame‑level leader in collegiate golf, he has guided the Camels to numerous conference championships and NCAA‑regional appearances. Crooks emphasizes fundamentals, psychological toughness, and a disciplined practice culture, leveraging his long tenure to build a women’s program that remains a consistent CAA‑level contender and a strong presence in postseason conversation.
