Men's Coach Bio

Scott Simpson, 1987 U.S. Open champion and PGA Tour veteran with over 40 years of experience, leads UH Mānoa’s men’s golf as head coach since June 2021. Previously assisting the women’s team to five Top-5 finishes, he set a program scoring record of 291.89 in 2024-25. A 2024 Hawai’i Golf Hall of Fame inductee, he blends pro insights with local junior development.

Women's Coach Bio

Julie Brooks has coached women’s golf for more than two decades, including head coaching stints at Hawai‘i and UC Irvine, where she won three Big West Coach of the Year honors and led teams to conference titles and NCAA Championship appearances. She previously served as Hawai‘i’s assistant coach, worked as a volunteer coach at California, and is a former teaching and playing professional. As a player, she competed for Arizona, turned pro in 1989, and played three seasons on the Futures Tour.
