Michael Beard is Pepperdine men’s head golf coach, leading the Waves in the West Coast Conference. A 2020 national Coach of the Year, he guided Pepperdine to an NCAA‑Division‑I men’s title in 2021 and has restored the program to elite status, with multiple conference championships and deep NCAA‑Championship runs. Beard emphasizes precision‑scoring preparation, a strong practice culture, and individual‑development, keeping the Waves consistently ranked among the nation’s top teams.

Women's Coach Bio

Laurie Gibbs is Pepperdine women’s head golf coach, entering her 30th+ season as one of the most respected figures in collegiate women’s golf. She has led the Waves to 21 WCC team titles over 26 seasons and a streak of 14 conference championships, amassing 59 team‑tournament wins and 58 individual‑tournament victories. Inducted into the Women’s Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Gibbs blends elite recruiting with technical coaching and mental‑toughness training.
