Men's Coach Bio

Mike Whitson is Eastern Kentucky men’s head golf coach, leading the Colonels in the Atlantic Sun Conference at the NCAA‑Division I level. A former EKU women’s coach and Colonel golfer, Whitson returned to the program after a stint off‑campus and has guided the men’s team to multiple top‑10 finishes and strong conference‑level performances. He emphasizes fundamentals, scoring‑oriented play, and a demanding schedule aimed at keeping EKU competitive in the ASUN and within the Southeast‑region‑style tournament landscape.

Women's Coach Bio

Mandy Moore is Eastern Kentucky women’s head golf coach, directing the Lady Colonels in the Atlantic Sun Conference. A former EKU graduate assistant and Wake Forest alumna, she has led the program to consistent top‑three finishes in recent conference championships. Moore stresses fundamentals, short‑game development, and a strong team‑culture environment while helping student‑athletes balance high‑level competition with academic success and personal‑growth goals.
