Men's Coach Bio

Sam Berry joined Bluefield State in February 2023 as head men's golf coach after six years as a professional golfer on mini-tours and assistant pro at Pikewood National, where he won Tri-State PGA assistant title. In 2025, he guided Big Blues to first CIAA championship (905, +41) and NCAA regional, earning CIAA Coach recognition from Bluefield, West Virginia.

Women's Coach Bio

Garry D. Moore Sr. serves as head women's golf coach at Bluefield State since February 2023, appointed by Sam Berry to develop both programs. An avid golfer focused on course management and player growth on and off course, he supports CIAA competition from the Bluefield campus with emphasis on academics and regional talent.
